My Story
My name is Andrew Ford — I’m from Memphis, a sophomore at Fisk University, and a college basketball player. Growing up, I played multiple sports: basketball, baseball, track, tennis, and golf. Every sport taught me something different, but one thing remained the same — they all shaped who I am today.
But as I got older, I realized how tough it can be for parents to afford it all. Sports fees, uniforms, equipment, travel — it’s a lot. And too many kids miss out on chasing their dreams simply because the cost is too high.
That’s part of why Kushindah was born.
The name means “to conquer” in Swahili. And this idea wasn’t something I forced — it was something God placed on my heart. It started small: a name, a vision, a mission. But it’s grown into something way bigger than me.
Kushindah is a brand built for people who grind in silence, who fight their way through adversity, and who believe in something bigger than themselves. It’s for athletes, dreamers, believers, and anyone pushing through pressure to reach their purpose.
And most importantly, Kushinda gives back. A portion of everything we do goes toward helping young athletes cover costs so they don’t have to sit out because of money. Every kid deserves a chance to pursue their passion.
This isn’t just apparel and art— it’s impact. It’s mindset. It’s purpose.
Faith. Fight. Finish.
